No foolin'

Dear Tee,
Today you are exactly 1 week away from being 2. I'm trying not to believe that this will mark what all the "experts" call, the "terrible twos". However, this week, has been the most challenging in my parenting career. You've not only managed to produce a sound so obnoxious that it frightens the dog, and I'm sure can be heard in the next county. You've also become quite adept at kicking, hitting, and climbing. You also, randomly, picked up a foam tube and decided that it was a sword, and I was your enemy.
When you are finished eating instead of saying "all done" or using your signs, you pretend you're blind- you tilt your head back with your eyes lightly closes and fish for whatever is in front of you. You consistently amaze us with your mechanical skills. You plug the cell phones into the chargers and cry when the dog goes outside and you cannot.

Although you've been walking 15 months, you managed to fall down the stairs, just now. Boy, kid, you are giving us a run for our money. We love you and we are thankful that we get to be your mommy and da-dee. We imagine that God has something special planned for your life... it helps to cope with your exhausting energy.
