While no candidate is perfect, including John McCain, it's really hard to believe that either of these men have come as far as they have.
John McCain has a lot of things going for him, but he's not very electable. By that I mean that he's not cool, charismatic, dynamic, witty, etc. enough to win over the young, stupid and/or undecided voters.
B.O. has all of the facts against him, as shown on the web site that you linked to (his voting record, personal history, heck even his name). But people still love him and unfortunately he's probably going to win!
I'm just trying to remember to pray about it - for God's will to be done and for his hand to be guiding this election, and all of the country's leaders for that matter.

"Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."- 1 Sam 16:7
God gets the final say, and He is sovereign (as you pointed out), but I still need to be responsible with my privilege to vote.
