Happenings

Little Lyla's checkup was today and she is doing well. She's one ounce shy of 11 lbs (10lbs 15oz) and she's tall 23.5". She had two shots today (we split them up) and after going into silent scream mode, she whimpered and then was o.k.

We've been mostly hanging out around the house, getting lots of projects finished (my handy husband, of course). The deck is 98% complete. The rock planter is 45% complete. Underneath the deck has a beautiful layer of river rocks (no more muddy shoes hanging laundry).

Travis is still potty training... we have good days and bad. Despite his new Peter Potty, he has found many interesting places "to go". This experience has put us closer to getting tile or hardwood floors where cleanup would be a breeze and a lot less residual.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone or know of anyone who wants to buy never been worn maternity clothes with tags still attached?

We're gearing up for a vacation to New Smyrna Beach (aka "shark bite capital of the world") in a couple of weeks with the FL family and extended family. It's always a great time... although, for reasons noted above, I only swim in the pool.

So, what been God teaching me lately? Glad you asked. Well, complete surrender of all to Him. Sounds easy, huh. I've got a long way to go, and I'm just beginning to peel back the layers of this one. Please pray for me, as God helps me unwrap all He wants me to get out of it and in every area wife-ing, mommy-ing, finances, friendships, business, serving, etc...

is that a urinal? ben is convinced that life would be much easier if we installed a urinal in our home bathroom (he has one at the shop and apparently it is just sublime).

FYI - we still want to have at least one more (hopefully not too soon!!) and I would like to take a look at the clothes you're selling. Maybe not the pants because you're so much taller, but maybe tops, skirts or dresses. Thanks!
