My little boy is almost 4.
I've enjoyed remembering and sharing all the little details that lead up to T's birthday with him. I don't think he really understands, but he seems intrigued.
The anticipation. The appointments. Mad Nesting. My Dad coming to be here just in case Tom had to fly. My obsession with cornbread. Walks. Thunderstorms.
It's been sweet. I think we shared a moment, maybe two.
Then that same almost 4 year old boy says to me, "Aw, Mom! You're not gonna cry, are you?"
Gotta love the candidness of little people.
